Manchester United defender Rafael missed today's clash with Sunderland because of a hamstring problem.
The Brazilian full-back has featured in the majority of United's matches so far this season.
However, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the injury, which is believed to have been sustained in training, could not be risked this afternoon.
Ferguson went on to reveal that the 22-year-old should be fit for next weekend's clash against Swansea City.
