Manchester United manager David Moyes is reportedly poised to add the Premier League's head of elite performance John Murtough to his staff.
The Scotsman, who took over from Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer, is believed to have targeted Murtough following his role with the academy at Everton while Moyes was boss.
According to PA, Murtough will not be brought in to take over the academy, but has been lined up for a role working across a number of areas at Old Trafford.
Brian McClair is currently the head of the United academy.
