Manchester United's staff have reportedly expressed their discontent with several issues, including the club's handling of Mason Greenwood and Antony in an emergency meeting with CEO Richard Arnold.

United have made a woeful start to their 2023-24 campaign, losing three of their first five matches in the Premier League and their opening Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich while also having to deal with a series of off-field issues.

The club has faced immense criticism regarding their handling of Greenwood, who has now been sent on loan to Getafe after he was arrested last January over allegations of attempted rape and assault - charges that Greenwood denied and were later dropped.

According to the Daily Mail, Man United staff members were asked to air their concerns in a 'no-holds barred' meeting with Arnold on Monday, with the discussion aimed at clearing frustrations over the handling of the players along with other issues at the club.

The report adds that Arnold told employees that Manchester United remain 'committed to an inclusive culture and were not tolerant of domestic abuse'.

The CEO reportedly went further to defend the club's internal investigation process into Greenwood and stressed that a final decision on the matter was only agreed upon following the probe's conclusion.

Elsewhere, Antony is on a period of paid leave and has been asked not to return to the club while he addresses allegations of assault made by three women in Brazil, which he has denied.

When asked about summer transfer dealings, the CEO reportedly reassured staff that the club is confident in their recruitment and fully back manager Erik ten Hag's decisions.

Adding to the issues at United, they will head to Turf Moor this weekend with Jadon Sancho dropped from the first team after clashing with Ten Hag while also missing the likes of Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw due to injury.
