Jose Mourinho has admitted that Manchester United have yet to click in pre-season after being held to a goalless draw by San Jose Earthquakes.
The Red Devils were unable to find a way past the Western Conference's bottom side in Sunday evening's friendly, two days after playing out an underwhelming 1-1 draw against Club America.
Without a number of key men due to their recent World Cup commitments - Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and David de Gea being among the absentees - Mourinho insisted that simply getting some practice in with those available to him has been the key aspect of United's American tour so far.
"We are not a team. We're a group of players from different teams," he told MUTV. "Some are first team, some Under-23s, some coming from loans and going on loan, some are younger, Under-18s. We don't have a team to play much better than we did but [it's] one more training session."
United return to action with an International Champions Cup clash against AC Milan at the Rose Bowl in the early hours of Thursday morning.
