Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has reportedly decided that he wants to prolong his playing career for another season.
The 40-year-old claimed earlier that he will make a decision regarding his future in the next couple of weeks.
The Welshman was appointed interim manager at Old Trafford until the end of the season following the departure of David Moyes, but he named himself in the squad for Tuesday night's 3-1 victory over Hull City.
According to Goal.com, Giggs is planning to tell the club's new manager, which is believed to be Louis van Gaal, that he wants to continue playing for another season, while United officials believe that he is capable of also juggling a coaching role.
United have no plans to make a managerial announcement this week, but Van Gaal has claimed that he "would love" to take over at Old Trafford.
