Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has claimed that he feels plenty of "affection and respect" in England.
The Spain international has regularly been linked with a return to his homeland after his attempt to sign for Real Madrid in 2015 fell through.
De Gea ended up signing a new contract at Old Trafford, but in almost every transfer window since then he has been at the centre of speculation involving Los Blancos.
According to talkSPORT while on international duty, the goalkeeper spoke of his time in the UK.
"In the end in England I have a great affection and respect that I do not notice so much here," the 27-year-old told reporters. "But every time I come to the national team I feel fondness inside and it is the most important thing."
De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
