Daley Blind 'very happy' for Anthony Martial after debut goal against Liverpool

Manchester United centre-back Daley Blind reveals his delight after debutant Anthony Martial scores an important goal in the club's 3-1 Premier League win over Liverpool.

Manchester United centre-back Daley Blind has revealed that he is "very happy" for Anthony Martial after the youngster bagged an important goal on his debut against Liverpool.

The 19-year-old frontman has been under considerable pressure following his £36m price-tag, but he went beyond expectations by grabbing United's third goal to seal a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"I am very happy for him, of course," Blind told the club's official website.

"He's the new guy and I think the team's very happy for him to score his first goal. What a goal it was."

United currently hold third spot in the Premier League standings after five games of the new season.
