Manchester United midfielder Ashley Young has brushed aside injury concerns by declaring himself fit for this weekend's meeting with Liverpool.
The 29-year-old, who has mainly been fielded at wing-back this season by manager Louis van Gaal, picked up a knock late on in Monday night's 2-1 victory over Southampton.
However, Young has played down the problem, while also hailing the Red Devils' "massive victory" against the Saints earlier this week.
"I'm a little bit sore," he told MUTV. "You have these little knocks and bruises but dust yourself off and away you go again. It's a massive win. I think, like the manager has said, the momentum is building now.
"We wanted to get another win and knew it was going to be a tough place to come away from home after the last one against Arsenal. We said we wanted another win on the road and we managed to do that – even though it wasn't easy at all.
"We're delighted with the three points and look forward to the game at the weekend now."
United have won their last five matches in the Premier League to climb up to third place.
