Manchester United have been handed a double boost ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture at Leeds United.
Ralf Rangnick's team returned to the top four in the Premier League standings on Tuesday evening courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
That result was achieved without the services of Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani, who were absent due to illness and a groin injury respectively.
Varane had initially been named in the starting lineup for the meeting with the Seagulls before having to withdraw shortly before kickoff.
Nevertheless, United revealed on Thursday that the pair were back in training ahead of the trip to Elland Road.
Given the success of Tuesday night, Rangnick may decide to keep both players in reserve, particularly in defence with Victor Lindelof having helped the team to a clean sheet on his own return to action.
