Manchester United's Ander Herrera, Angel di Maria declared fit to face Chelsea

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal confirms that Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria are fit to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that both Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria are fit to play in Sunday's Premier League battle against Chelsea.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Herrera aggravated a rib injury during United's 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Monday, putting the midfielder in doubt for this weekend.

Di Maria was also thought to be an injury concern after he was seen placing an ice pack on his groin after being substituted before the end of the match at The Hawthorns.

However, Van Gaal will have both players at his disposal after he told reporters: "Ander Herrera was already fit and Di Maria said after the game that it wasn't so heavy and it's not. It was only the first day he didn't train, so it's no problem. I'm sorry to say no other players are back."

United are currently 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
