How Manchester United could line up against West Ham United

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Tuesday's FA Cup clash with West Ham United.

Manchester United will be looking to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup when they welcome fellow Premier League side West Ham United to Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have beaten Watford and Liverpool to advance to the fifth round and will now be aiming to overcome a team led by their former manager David Moyes.

The Red Devils remain in second position in the Premier League table but conceded late against Everton on Saturday to draw 3-3, which saw them lose more ground on leaders Manchester City.

United will again definitely be without the services of long-term absentee Phil Jones, while Eric Bailly is a doubt with the problem that he picked up in training ahead of the clash with Everton.

Paul Pogba, meanwhile, had to be substituted in the first half of Saturday's game with the Toffees due to a thigh problem, and the France international is now facing "a few weeks" on the sidelines, according to Solskjaer.

Fred replaced Pogba off the bench against Carlo Ancelotti's side, and the Brazilian could now be handed a spot in the starting XI, although Nemanja Matic is also an option in the middle of the park.

Dean Henderson is expected to replace David de Gea between the sticks, but Solskjaer is likely to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack due to the importance of the contest.

Edinson Cavani could again lead the attack despite the quick turnaround, although Anthony Martial, who scored twice in the 9-0 win over Southampton, is an option for change in the final third.

United's next Premier League match is not until February 14, though, and therefore the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood should keep their spots, meaning more frustration for Donny van de Beek, who continues to struggle for regular action.
