The Premier League's Big Six are reportedly set to learn their punishments for their involvement in the failed European Super League project in the coming days.

The 'Big Six' English clubs are reportedly set to hold talks with the Premier League regarding punishments for their involvement in the European Super League fiasco.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all signalled their intentions to sign up for the breakaway league, only to see plans crumble within 48 hours.

The Big Six were hit with the threat of expulsion from future UEFA tournaments, which now seems unlikely, but the authorities are not willing to let the members of the 'Dirty Dozen' go unpunished.

According to Sky Sports News, the clubs will soon begin crunch talks with the Premier League over the impending sanctions, which could range from multi-million pound fines to points deductions.

The report adds that the Big Six may also have to forfeit a portion of next season's broadcast revenue, but any "substantial" points deductions will be strongly opposed.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are all still committed to the Super League project, with Florentino Perez claiming last month that the clubs who signed up "cannot leave".
