Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has expressed his disappointment in competing in the Europa League.
The Red Devils dropped into the competition after getting knocked out of the Champions League group stage earlier in the season.
While the English champions have conveyed a desire to clinch the European trophy, French full-back Evra has blasted the credibility of the tournament.
"I can't find the words to describe how I feel about us being knocked out [of the Champions League]," The Express quotes Evra as saying. "It was a sad day. It is embarrassing to play in the Europa League.
"Players dream about playing for United because it offers them the prospect of Champions League action."
