Manchester United Under-23s remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League 2 table courtesy of a 4-0 home defeat to Chelsea Under-23s on Friday night.
Juan Castillo, Kylian Hazard, Reece James and Harvey St Clair scored the goals for the visitors, who have moved above West Ham United Under-23s into sixth position in the table.
United's XI included highly-rated duo Andre Gomes and Tahith Chong, while Joe Riley and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson were also among those to feature for the home side at Leigh Sports Village.
Chelsea took the lead in the 10th minute of the fixture, however, before Hazard - brother of first-team star Eden Hazard - made it 2-0 early in the second period.
James sent Chelsea three goals ahead on the hour with a calm finish, but the visitors were not done and added a fourth in the 78th minute through St Clair after good work from Joshua Grant.
United Under-23s have not won in the league since they beat Sunderland Under-23s at the end of October.
