Yaya Toure is being tempted by a £24m after-tax deal to move from Manchester City to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, reports suggest.
The 32-year-old Ivorian midfielder has been offered a three-year contract that works out at £300,000 per week, or £8m per season, to play under Sven-Goran Eriksson in the Far East.
The Sun says that the Chinese Super League side are keen for Toure, who once famously spoke of his disappointment at not receiving a birthday cake from City, to join them as soon as possible but are prepared to wait until the summer for his signature.
Toure joined City from Barcelona in 2010, finding the net 50 times in 176 appearances.
