Report: Manchester City bid £14.5m for Porto's Fernando

Manchester City are preparing a £14.5m bid to try to sign Porto midfielder Fernando this week, according to a report.

Manchester City have set their sights on a swoop for Porto midfielder Fernando, according to a report.

Manuel Pellegrini's side tried to sign the 26-year-old in January but they failed to agree a deal with the Portuguese side.

However, City are now prepared to bid £14.5m to land the midfielder and are hopeful that they can secure a deal within a week, according to the Daily Mail.

The Brazilian made 36 appearances in all competitions for Porto last season.
