Manuel Pellegrini confident of Yaya Toure stay

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is confident that Yaya Toure will remain at the club, despite interest from Inter Milan and former manager Roberto Mancini.

Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that Yaya Toure will not be leaving Manchester City in the near future.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a reunion with former City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan, who confirmed that the Serie A side are attempting to lure the midfielder to Italy.

However, Pellegrini is confident that Toure will remain at the Etihad Stadium beyond the summer as he remains an integral part of his side.

Pellegrini told reporters: "I don't have an opinion about what another manager says about Yaya.

"Of course, every manager of every team would want Yaya in their team but I don't have anything to say about that. Yaya is very happy here and he doesn't have any intention to go anywhere else."

Toure has scored nine goals in 27 appearances for the Citizens this season.
