Manchester City have allegedly agreed a deal with Slavia Sofia for youngster Filip Krastev.
Despite uncertainty over whether they will feature in next season's Champions League, City continue to identify players for both their short and long-term future.
According to Sofia chairman Ventseslav Stefanov, the Premier League giants have been monitoring the development of midfielder Krastev, leading to a deal being agreed for the 18-year-old.
Speaking to dsport, Stefanov said: "It recently became clear that Filip performed well in the tests. Everything went well.
"Now he will return to Bulgaria, and at the beginning of next week we should finalise the deal. Manchester City like him a lot. He will stay to play in Slavia until the winter."
Slavia have suggested that an official announcement will be made in due course.
