Everton 'demand £60m for Ross Barkley to ward off Manchester City interest'

Everton reportedly slap a £60m price tag on Ross Barkey to ward off interest from Manchester City.

Everton have reportedly told Manchester City that they must pay £60m for midfielder Ross Barkley.

The England international was linked with the Sky Blues last summer, but has since signed a new four-year deal at Goodison Park, upping his value.

However, City are able to at least double Barkley's wages and are willing to smash the record transfer fee for an Englishman to secure his services in January, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the 22-year-old, but Everton has so far been reluctant to entertain offers for his services.
