Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to make a double swoop for two of Manchester City's allegedly unsettled players during the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to make approaches for two Manchester City players during the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga giants are currently going through the process of appointing a successor to Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving his role as head coach.

If reports are to be believed, Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will be making the move to the Allianz Arena once a compensation package can be agreed between the two clubs.

With Bayern having only finished in third place in the German top-flight standings during 2023-24, Kompany is expected to have the leeway to make a number of alterations to the first-team squad.

However, according to separate reports, it appears that the Belgian may be looking towards former club Man City to try to acquire two of his preferred additions.

Kompany keen on Stones reunion

According to Football Insider, Kompany is keeping a watchful eye on whether John Stones will be allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium.

The England international is closing in on the end of his eighth campaign at the Etihad Stadium, contributing 16 goals and seven assists from his 256 appearances in all competitions.

Stones has also played an integral part of the countless silverware that has been won under Pep Guardiola, yet he has barely featured during the run-in.

In the last nine Premier League fixtures where he has been made available, Stones has remained an unused substitute on seven occasions, naturally leading to his frustration.

With just over two years remaining on his contract, it is now unclear whether Stones sees his long-term future at City, or whether his employers are prepared to offer him fresh terms.

Grealish on Bayern radar

Jack Grealish has found himself in a similar position to Stones this campaign, with injuries seemingly denting the faith Guardiola has in his ability to regain his best form upon his return.

The playmaker played just 10 minutes of City's final four Premier League games, including remaining as an unused substitute for the final two matches versus Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

According to The Sun, Bayern and Kompany would both be tempted in securing a deal for Grealish in due course.

His £100m transfer fee from 2021 and contract lasting until 2027 theoretically makes things more difficult for Bayern, yet City may deem that the upcoming transfer window is the best opportunity to recoup the biggest fee.
