Barcelona allegedly have no intention of entertaining a cut-price fee for Lionel Messi this summer.
With the Catalan giants in disarray both on and off the pitch, it has been claimed that the forward may take the opportunity to end his long-term association with the La Liga side.
Despite having recently turned 33 years old, the developments behind the scenes at Camp Nou have led to the Argentina international being linked with the likes of Manchester City, Inter Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, according to reports in Spain, club officials will ask for £631m, Messi's release clause, if any club makes a formal offer over the coming weeks.
That alleged stances comes despite the legendary attacker having less than a year on his contract and Barcelona requiring transfer funds to chase other targets.
Messi is said to have already held talks with Ronald Koeman, informing the newly-appointed boss that he has his doubts over remaining at the club.
