New Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has said that he is "happy" to be joining a "big team".
Manuel Pellegrini secured the services of the Spanish striker for an initial fee of £21.5m today and the striker has been quick to praise his new club.
"I am happy to go to a big team," he said. "I think in football there are stages. For four years I have been very happy, but I think my time [at Sevilla] was over."
Negredo will join up with former Sevilla teammate Jesus Navas at the Etihad Stadium, following the 27-year-old's £14.9m switch to the Citizens last month.
