The Manchester City players reportedly hope that manager Roberto Mancini will keep Emmanuel Adebayor when the striker's loan stint with Tottenham Hotspur comes to an end.

The Manchester City squad have reportedly put pressure on manager Roberto Mancini to recall Emmanuel Adebayor from Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old was loaned out to White Hart Lane for this year's campaign and has managed to score 13 goals in 27 appearances for Harry Redknapp's side.

It is believed that a majority of the City players want Mancini to build bridges with the striker and bring him back to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that the Togolese frontman may consider a return to his parent club if rumoured target Jose Mourinho replaces Mancini at the helm.
