Manchester City facing transfer ban for breaching Financial Fair Play rules?

Manchester City are reportedly expected to be found guilty of breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules, which could result in a transfer ban.

Manchester City are reportedly in danger of being hit with a transfer embargo should they be found guilty of breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

The Premier League outfit have been under investigation by the European governing body following their spending spree across the 2011-12 and 2012-13 campaigns.

The acquisitions of Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Javi Garcia, Gael Clichy and Matija Nastasic resulted in the club, which is owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan, posting a loss of £149m.

According to The Telegraph, UEFA are expected to hand out a guilty verdict to City, as well as French champions Paris Saint-Germain, which could result in a heavy fine or transfer ban for both clubs.

However, it has been reported that neither side will be expelled from the Champions League as a form of sanction for their finances.

UEFA's Club Financial Control Body will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday to decide on which clubs have breached FFP rules.
