Radamel Falcao agent prefers Sir Alex Ferguson to Louis van Gaal

Radamel Falcao's agent says that former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would have got more out of his client than Louis van Gaal.

The agent of Radamel Falcao has claimed that his client would have thrived under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old has failed to scale the heights expected of him since joining United on a season-long loan from AS Monaco, netting three times from 15 games in all competitions.

Falcao's working relationship with manager Louis van Gaal is said to have deteriorated recently, with the Dutchman omitting him from the squad in the 1-0 defeat to Southampton earlier this month.

"I would have liked it if Falcao was with Sir Alex Ferguson," Jorge Mendes told La Sexta. "He is a player who needs to play 90 minutes and I don't understand [why he isn't]."

It has previously been reported that Van Gaal would opt against taking up the opportunity to sign Falcao on a permanent deal.
