Kevin De Bruyne: 'Manchester City will attack Manchester United'

Kevin De Bruyne warns Manchester United to expect a fast and furious Manchester City in their upcoming derby-day clash at Old Trafford.

Kevin De Bruyne has warned Manchester United that Manchester City will demonstrate their attacking prowess in Sunday's derby at Old Trafford.

Both sides renew hostilities at the Theatre of Dreams as the Sky Blues, who lead the Premier League table, look to establish a five-point cushion over their bitter rivals, who sit third.

With 24 goals, Manuel Pellegrini's side are also the division's leading scorers, and De Bruyne urges his teammates to flex their free-flowing attacking muscles once again.

"We shouldn't play defensive because our main strength lies going forward, though we need to stay disciplined. We know it will be difficult," the Belgian told City's official website.

"Manchester United have been a top team for a long time and the rivalry between us and them obviously runs deep, but the season is very long."

Only Arsenal - who sit two points behind the Citizens - and Tottenham Hotspur have conceded fewer goals than City this season.
