The summer transfer window has now closed, with Manchester City having again focused on bolstering their defence first and foremost.
Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias arrived for a combined sum of more than £100m, while Ferran Torres was another notable signing. Attention will now switch to the January window as Pep Guardiola's side attempt to win back the Premier League title.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Friday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Barcelona regard Angelino as 'dream player'?
Barcelona allegedly remain interested in securing a future deal for Manchester City defender Angelino.
Having failed to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium, the left-sided player is currently impressing on loan at RB Leizpig, where he has been since January.
The 23-year-old has already contributed six goals and six assists from 29 appearances, a return which has seemingly not gone unnoticed in his homeland.
According to Bild, Barcelona regard Angelino as their 'dream player' as they consider a future offer for the Spaniard.
While Leipzig are expected to complete a permanent deal in 2021, Angelino may be prepared to keep his options open due to never featuring in La Liga.
Angelino still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his City contract.
Manchester United 'ready to move for Dayot Upamecano next summer'
Manchester United have reportedly 'pledged their interest' in RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano and are ready to move for the central defender during next summer's transfer window.
Upamecano remained with his German club during the recent window despite speculation that a number of teams were interested in his services.
Next summer there will be a €45m (£39.9m) release clause in the 22-year-old's contract, though, and it is widely thought that the France international will be on the move ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
According to Bild, United are ready to move for the central defender, but the Red Devils are expected to face intense competition for his signature.
The report claims that both Manchester City and Real Madrid are also keeping a close eye on developments as they consider making their own approaches in 2021.
Upamecano has already made 10 appearances for Leipzig this season and was a part of the team that suffered a 5-0 defeat to United in the Champions League last month.
