Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Saturday's Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola should be working with a fully-fit squad for Saturday's Champions League final against Inter Milan at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The Catalonian coach sparked a few fears over Kyle Walker's fitness recently, confessing that the Englishman had been experiencing some grief with a back injury ahead of the trip to Turkey.

Walker sustained the problem against Manchester United in the FA Cup final, but the 33-year-old is confident that he will be given the green light to line up from the off as Man City finally aim to end their European hoodoo and complete a famous treble of trophies.

A recognisable backline of Walker, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji should therefore protect Ederson - who will return for FA Cup final shot-stopper Stefan Ortega - although Nathan Ake is on standby if Walker is ultimately spared.

John Stones will inevitably continue in his inverted role alongside Rodri, while two-goal Real Madrid hero Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish - who has created 35 chances for Man City in the 2022-23 Champions League, the most by an English player on record - start out wide.

In what could be his final appearance for the Premier League champions, Ilkay Gundogan will sport the armband in the centre of the park, where Kevin De Bruyne will accompany him as ever.

Needing just one more goal to break the single-season Champions League record for an English club, Erling Braut Haaland could also become the first Norwegian to score in a Champions League final since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for Manchester United in 1999, where the Red Devils coincidentally secured a famous treble.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Akanji; Stones, Rodri; Silva, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish; Haaland
