Real Madrid have confirmed that Thibaut Courtois and Marcelo will play no part in their Champions League last-16 second leg with Manchester City.
First-choice goalkeeper Courtois injured his adductor in Sunday's shock defeat to Real Betis, while left-back Marcelo sustained a muscular injury in the same game.
After undergoing scans on Monday, both players have been ruled out of Friday's league clash with Eibar and next week's trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Courtois started last month's first leg with City, which finished in a 2-1 victory for Pep Guardiola's men.
Marcelo remained on the bench for the full 90 minutes, meanwhile, with Ferland Mendy instead getting the nod.
Eden Hazard is Madrid's other big-name absentee for the return fixture with City.
