Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Eibar

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Friday's La Liga fixture at home to Eibar.

Real Madrid will be looking to respond to their shock defeat against Real Betis at the weekend when they welcome Eibar to the Bernabeu on Friday.

Zinedine Zidane's men lost 2-1 at mid-table Betis to fall two points behind new La Liga leaders Barcelona with 11 games to go.

Madrid have a huge showdown with Manchester City to come in the Champions League next week, but Zidane cannot afford to prioritise that game over this clash with relegation-threatened Eibar.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest in the Spanish capital.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Marco Asensio remains on the sidelines with the serious knee injury that he picked up during pre-season. While the playmaker is said to be making good progress, he is unlikely to feature until after the next international break at the earliest.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Eden Hazard limped off during last month's clash with Levante having suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury. The Belgium international was playing for just the second time since returning from a long-term problem, but Zidane has confirmed that the attacker could now miss the remainder of the season after fracturing the same area.

Isco

Possible return date: March 13 (vs. Eibar)

Isco has been carrying a minor back injury that has seen him left out of Madrid's squad in recent games. The attacker missed a chunk of training last week but is expected to be back in contention to feature against Eibar on Friday.

Dani Carvajal
