Zenit St Petersburg are reportedly prepared to offer Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel a £110,000-a-week deal in a bid to persuade him to rejoin the club.
The Russian outfit sold Skrtel to Liverpool for £6.5m in 2008, but are interested in bringing him back amid reports he is unsettled on Merseyside.
This has alerted big-spending Zenit, who would be willing to pay £14m for the Slovakian's services, according to the Daily Mail.
The centre-back is also attracting attention from Premier League champions Manchester City, who are looking for competition for captain Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott.
