Liverpool are reportedly still yet to hold contract discussions with midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who has just one year left on his deal.

Liverpool are reportedly yet to contact midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum with regards to extending his contract at Anfield.

Wijnaldum has established himself as a key man at the Merseyside giants since his arrival in 2016, making a total of 186 appearances in all competitions.

However, with less than a year remaining on his existing deal, it is unclear whether the Netherlands international intends to stay at the Premier League champions.

Nevertheless, according to Sky Sports News, the 29-year-old's representatives are still waiting to hear from club officials.

With Liverpool allegedly being restricted in the transfer market this summer, Jurgen Klopp will not be keen to lose Wijnaldum on a free transfer in 2021.
