Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge reportedly tells the club that he wants to join Sevilla this month, despite the Reds rejecting a loan move from the Spanish outfit.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave Anfield this month.

The 28-year-old has made just five Premier League starts all season and is eager to find more regular first-team football in an attempt to secure his place in England's World Cup squad this summer.

Liverpool have been in talks with Inter Milan over a possible deal for the forward, while Sevilla are understood to have seen a loan bid turned down and Southampton have also been credited with an interest.

The Reds will only consider a loan move if there is the guarantee of a permanent bid at the end of it, but The Mirror reports that Sturridge has asked the club to reconsider Sevilla's offer.

Sturridge is understood to be keen on a move to the Spanish outfit, although Liverpool are reluctant to consider any bids which would see them land less than £25m for the England international.

Sturridge joined Liverpool in January 2013 and has gone on to score 63 goals in 133 appearances for the club across all competitions.
