Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is looking to bring in new additions in the January transfer window, including one or two loan signings.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the club are aiming to spend in the January transfer window and intend to snatch one or two loan signings.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked with the likes of Aston Villa striker Darren Bent and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge but Rodgers has insisted that the majority of rumours are false.

"The squad has been ultra-thin right the way through," Rodgers told talkSPORT. "There will be some money available.

"There have been a million names linked to the club and the brutal honesty of it is that 99% of those we haven't been thinking about. But there will be a bit of money to spend and hopefully we can get one or two loans in, if that's possible, to reinforce the group."

The Reds sit in 11th place in the Premier League table with 16 points.
