Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that there will be no progress regarding a new contract for Raheem Sterling until the end of the season.
The Merseyside giants are hoping to tie the 20-year-old down to a long-term deal at Anfield, but despite the delay, Rodgers he remains confident that talks will come to a positive conclusion in the summer.
The 42-year-old told reporters: "It has been made clear by Raheem's representative that he wants to concentrate on his football and see what can be resolved in the summer.
"I am sure it will be resolved and the concentration for Raheem is now on his football and it is clear the terms of when those talks will begin again."
Sterling has netted 10 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions this season.
