Sampdoria have reportedly requested that Liverpool contribute to Mario Balotelli's wages if they take the striker on loan next season.
The Italian has been linked with a temporary move to the Serie A side, having scored just once in the Premier League for Brendan Rodgers's side.
The Daily Mail reports that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferraro is keen to bring in new players, including the striker, but has asked Balotelli's current side to continue paying part of his salary.
Balotelli scored a total of four goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool after completing a £16m move from AC Milan last summer.
