Manchester City are reportedly readying a fresh big-money bid for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.
The unsettled England international, who has turned down the offer of a new contract at Anfield, is thought to have already been the subject of two previous City offers.
Sterling is due to report for pre-season training at Liverpool on Monday, ahead of the club's pre-season tour which kicks off in a week.
It has previously been suggested that the Reds will refuse to allow their star asset to leave for anything less than £50m, which is some way short of the rumoured £40m previously offered by the Citizens.
However, The Telegraph reports that Manuel Pellegrini is now keen to get the deal over the line, and is therefore prepared to make a final bid to match the Merseyside outfit's hefty asking price.
Sterling, who scored 10 goals for Liverpool last term, has two years left to run on his current contract.
