Liverpool reportedly make a £3m bid for Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.

Liverpool have reportedly lodged a £3m bid for Sporting Lisbon centre-back Tiago Ilori.

Interest from the Reds has long been known, but the Liverpool Echo believes that Brendan Rodgers has now made his move for the Portuguese Under-20 international.

Finances are believed to be tight at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, meaning that the Lions are likely to do business.

Ilori, who who is currently on international duty at the Toulon Tournament, joined Sporting from the Algarve-based Imortal DC in 2006 and made his first-team debut two years ago.
