Report: Martin Skrtel targeted by Napoli as Liverpool contract winds down

Liverpool face a fight to keep Martin Skrtel as Napoli reportedly prepare to make a bid this summer.

Italian side Napoli are set to chase Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel this summer, according to reports.

Skrtel has just 12 months remaining on his Anfield contract and recently said that he will wait until the end of the season to resolve his future.

The Mirror claims that Napoli made a bid to sign Skrtel last summer, and are still keen on taking him to the Stadio San Paolo.

Skrtel signed for Liverpool from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008.
