Lazar Markovic has not been included in Liverpool's 25-man Premier League squad following his collapsed move to Anderlecht.
The 24-year-old was due to rejoin the Belgian giants on an initial loan deal, only for talks to break down at the last minute.
Speaking earlier this week, Anderlecht boss Hein Vanhaezebrouck blamed the Serbia international for the failed transfer, insisting that his side "did everything" to get a deal over the line.
Markovic will now spend the vast majority of the season in the stands, having failed to make the cut for Jurgen Klopp's final squad.
Loris Karius and youngster Connor Randall are both included, meanwhile, despite being loaned to Besiktas and Rochdale respectively.
