Loris Karius has reportedly asked Liverpool to cancel his loan period at Besiktas.
The Merseyside giants opted to allowed Karius to link up with the Turkish outfit for a two-year period before the start of this season, and the stopper has made 27 appearances in all competitions.
However, a number of mistakes have resulted in Karius coming in for criticism from manager Senol Gunes, and it appears that the German is keen on a return to Anfield.
According to Turkiye Gazetesi, Karius wants to be given the chance to find a new club during the summer transfer window rather than see out a second season at the Istanbul outfit.
Karius may also be considered as the new deputy for Alisson Becker, with Simon Mignolet having just over a year remaining on his contract.
