Liverpool will reportedly keep a close eye on Florian Neuhaus's performances for Germany at Euro 2020, as the Reds weigh up a summer move for the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder.
The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for his Bundesliga club, scoring eight times and providing eight assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.
Neuhaus, who has also been lined with Bayern Munich, is believed to have a €40m (£34.3m) release clause in his current deal with Monchengladbach.
According to The Guardian, Liverpool are interested in the midfielder and will monitor his form for Germany at the European Championship before deciding whether to launch an offer.
The report claims that the Reds view Neuhaus as the ideal replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who has left Anfield to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
Jurgen Klopp's side have also recently been linked with Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Leicester City's Youri Tielemans ahead of the 2021-22 season.
