Liverpool confirm Roberto Firmino signing

Liverpool complete the signing of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, subject to a medical.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino, subject to a medical.

The Brazil international has agreed a long-term deal with the Anfield club.

Liverpool have confirmed that a medical will take place as soon as Firmino's participation in the Copa America is over.

The 23-year-old becomes the club's fifth signing of the summer, following the captures of Danny Ings, James Milner, Adam Bodgan and Joe Gomez.

Firmino scored 47 times in 151 appearances for Hoffenheim after joining them from Figueirense in 2010.

The transfer fee paid to the Bundesliga outfit has not been disclosed.
