Liverpool have allegedly identified Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo as a potential summer transfer target.
The Merseyside giants already look well stocked for next season, with Fulham prospect Fabio Carvalho expected to follow Luis Diaz in moving to Anfield for 2022-23.
However, three of their forward players - Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino - all have just 16-and-a-half months remaining on their contracts.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool may move for Zaniolo if they part ways with one of their long-serving front three at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old, who has been hindered by significant injuries earlier in his career, has made 19 starts in Serie A this season, contributing just two goals and one assist.
Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also said to be monitoring the situation with the Italy international only possessing a contract at Stadio Olimpico until 2024.
