Liverpool 'interested in signing Santos wonderkid'

Liverpool are interested in signing Santos teenager Angelo Gabriel, according to a report.

Santos teenager Angelo Gabriel is reportedly a transfer target for Liverpool.

The 16-year-old, who signed a professional contract with his Brazilian club last December, has made 12 first-team appearances for the Black and Whites.

According to Sport Witness, Gabriel's performances since turning professional have caught the attention of Liverpool, with the Premier League champions now monitoring his progress.

The report claims that Jurgen Klopp's side are likely to face competition from Real Madrid, though, as the Spanish giants also keen to bring him to the Bernabeu.

Gabriel, who has represented Brazil at Under-16s level, is contracted to Ariel Holan's side until December 2023, with the deal thought to include a release clause in the region of €60m (£51m).

The attacker is the second-youngest player to ever feature for Santos.
