Inter Milan are reportedly ready to rival Liverpool for the signature of Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi.
Amid their seemingly never-ending defensive crisis, the Reds were tipped to bring Mandi to Anfield back in January before securing the signatures of Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak instead.
It remains to be seen if the Premier League champions will reignite their interest in the 29-year-old during the summer transfer window, but Jurgen Klopp would supposedly have to do battle with Antonio Conte for Mandi's signature.
According to reports in Spain, the Nerazzurri have taken a serious interest in Mandi as he runs down the final few months on his Betis contract, with the soon-to-be free agent looking increasingly likely to leave this summer.
Inter are understood to have touched base with Mandi's entourage already, but the former Reims man would not be short of offers if he refuses to pen a new Betis deal in the coming months.
The Algeria international has scored three goals in 20 La Liga appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side this season.
