Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
The 29-year-old's future is again being called into question ahead of the upcoming transfer window, and it has been suggested that he could be available for a cut-price fee later this year.
A recent report claimed that the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic means that Napoli have dropped their asking price for the Senegal international to €45m (£39m).
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both been linked with the defender, but according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, there is also genuine interest from Liverpool.
The Reds are likely to be in the market for a new centre-back this summer despite signing Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak during the January transfer window, albeit with the latter only on loan from Schalke 04.
Koulibaly, who has scored once in 28 appearances for Napoli this season, was believed to be valued in the region of £100m by his Italian club before the coronavirus outbreak.
