Liverpool 'cancel Friday's contract meeting with Raheem Sterling'

Liverpool reportedly cancel Friday's meeting with Raheem Sterling following alleged comments made by his agent Aidy Ward.

Liverpool have reportedly cancelled Friday's meeting with Raheem Sterling following alleged comments made by the youngster's agent Aidy Ward.

The England international was expected to meet with manager Brendan Rodgers before the weekend to discuss his long-term future at Anfield.

Reports emerged this week claiming that the 20-year-old was planning to tell his coach that he will not sign a new contract.

This morning, Sterling's agent was quoted as saying that even an offer of £900,000 a week will not convince Sterling to extend his contract, which has two years left to run.

However, Ward has denied making those comments and is seeking legal advice.

According to The Mirror, as a result of Ward's comments, Liverpool have cancelled the meeting due to be held with Sterling and his representatives.

The Reds youngster has been linked to Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
