Liverpool, Barcelona want Kai Havertz?

Liverpool and Barcelona both want to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool and Barcelona are reportedly both interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2018-19 campaign for Leverkusen, scoring 20 times and registering seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

According to Bild, both Liverpool and Barca want to sign the Germany international this summer, but Leverkusen have placed a £90m valuation on his shoulders.

Havertz largely operated as an attacking midfielder last season, although the youngster has also played right wing and in central midfield for the Bundesliga club.

Bayern Munich are also said to have an interest in the three-time international, who has a contract at the BayArena until the summer of 2022.
