Inter Milan reach deal to sign Xherdan Shaqiri

Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri agrees terms with Inter Milan over an initial loan deal with the Italian giants.

Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich over the signing of midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Italian giants had to fend off strong reported interest from Liverpool for the Swiss World Cup star, who was seen as an ideal replacement for the outgoing Steven Gerrard at Anfield.

However, Shaqiri appears to have opted to join Inter on an initial loan deal, which has yet to be signed.

Widespread reports claim that the Nerrazzuri have the option to sign Shaqiri on a permanent basis at the end of the season for a fee of £10m.
